Beneath the Ice is a feature documentary following a team of glaciologists as they race to extract ice cores from rapidly melting glaciers in Greenland. The cores contain atmospheric records spanning 100,000 years -- data that may be lost forever as climate change accelerates.
Our crew spent three months embedded with researchers at Station Nord, one of the most remote inhabited places on Earth. The documentary interweaves the urgency of the scientific mission with intimate portraits of the researchers who have dedicated their lives to understanding our planet's past.
